"Silent Sigh", Dublin

(Music on radio playing loudly)

Me: “Hello sir, how are you? Could I take your picture?”

(No answer)

(getting closer) “Can I take your picture?”

Sir listening to the radio: (silently and nodding) “Yeah… let me take off my glasses.”

(Having taken off his glasses, gazes my direction, and rocks from side to side to the radio)

Me: “Thank you so much. Have a good one.”

Sir listening to the radio: (nods and smiles)

Later passing by him again in the car, waving at him, he waved back and nodded.
